Running towards the goal is a traditional half-marathon race, that has been organized for the last seven years in Skopje. Once a year, in the early spring, the quay of the river Vardar is turned into a competition ground where lots of marathon runners, both professional and amateur, come to test their skills. Besides the testing of skills, this event promotes the friendship, and often promotes a way of creating some change in our society, through reaching a specific goal, hence the name Running towards the Goal.
In the event from the 2010, the goal was to help several activities in Macedonia by providing a way of collecting funds. The three of the activities were, a donation for educational program for Roma children, donation for development of physical education program for people with special needs and collecting funds for renovation of bathrooms in the elementary school in Novo Lisiche. We are proud to say that this event went in perfect order, with lots of people attending, both runners and spectators.
